Responsibilities and Authorities
The Council's duties and authorities are organized in two common and specific sections for higher education, research, and technology institutions:
- Common Duties and Authorities of the Council in Higher Education, Research, and Technology Institutions
1- Guiding and leading the activities of supervision, evaluation, and quality assurance and providing suggestions to the head of the institution
2- Reviewing and approving proposed plans related to the supervision, evaluation, and quality assurance of the institution
3- Providing necessary suggestions in the field of providing appropriate resources and facilities for the optimal implementation of supervision, evaluation, and quality assurance to the head of the institution
4- Formulating and approving internal regulations related to the implementation of supervision, evaluation, and quality assurance of the institution
- Specific Duties and Authorities of the Council in Higher Education Institutions
1- Reports on the supervision and evaluation of the Vice-Chancellors, faculties, units, and working groups of the institution and presenting them to the relevant departments in order to change, correct, and formulate quality improvement programs
2- Reviewing and evaluating strategic plans and policies, the development of fields of study, the recruitment of faculty and human resources, the admission and determination of student capacity, the establishment and expansion of educational groups, and the upgrading of the institution's units for final submission and approval in the institution's council (University Council)
- Common Duties and Authorities of the Council in Research and Technology Institutions
1- Reviewing and approving supervision and evaluation reports of the research and technology institutions of the institution (including research institutes, technology unit growth centers, science and technology parks, innovation centers, laboratories and specialized workshops, accelerators, technology markets, and other specialized units and working groups) and presenting them to the relevant departments in order to change, correct, and formulate quality improvement programs
2- Reviewing and evaluating the technical and economic reports of research and technology plans and projects submitted by real and legal applicants and presenting the results to the relevant unit
3- Reviewing and evaluating the performance of technology units and approving their growth stages for presentation to the relevant unit
